TAKK BAG
The inception of the TAKK Bag can be traced back to these guiding principles of repurposing and creativity. We set out with a specific challenge - to find a way to repurpose packages that couldn't be recycled through conventional means. These discarded packages, which still held value, were transformed into the building blocks in our sustainable endeavour.
Drawing inspiration from the art of basket weaving, a venerable craft that dates back centuries, I began experimenting with the discarded packages. Cutting and sewing the materials paved the way for their metamorphosis into a brand new form. The combination of innovation and respect for traditional craftsmanship gave birth to the technique that would underpin the creation of the TAKK Bag. Collaborating with bag designer Eliza Meilande for the construction of the bag, the designs is the embodiment of ‘craft meets utility’.
